Connecticut Retail Sportsbooks
Two tribal casino sportsbooks plus a state lottery retail rollout. Connecticut's retail betting footprint is small but well-integrated with the three online operators. Here is every place you can bet in person in CT.

Public Act 21-23 authorizes the Connecticut Lottery Corporation to operate up to 15 retail sports betting locations across the state. These cannot be within 25 miles of either tribal casino without tribal consent — which means most of central, eastern, and southeast CT is reserved for the tribal operators.
As of May 2026, the Lottery has opened locations in:
- Hartford
- Stamford
- New Haven
- Bridgeport
- Waterbury
Additional locations are planned but not yet operational. See current CT Lottery retail locations →
Retail or Mobile in CT?
Most CT betting volume flows through mobile (FanDuel, DraftKings, Fanatics apps). Retail accounts for ~5-10% of state handle. Reasons CT bettors choose retail:
- Cash deposits and withdrawals — Avoid ACH processing time; cash at the casino cage clears instantly.
- High-stakes wagers — Retail accepts larger single wagers than the mobile apps typically allow.
- Social atmosphere — Game-day viewing experience with food, drinks, and other bettors.
- Retail-only promos — Casinos and operators occasionally run on-property bonus offers not available online.
Connecticut Retail Sportsbooks FAQ
Where can I bet in person in Connecticut?
Two tribal casinos: Foxwoods Resort Casino (DraftKings sportsbook) and Mohegan Sun (FanDuel sportsbook). The Connecticut Lottery is also authorized to operate up to 15 retail sportsbook locations across the state, though not all are live yet.
Do I need to be a CT resident to bet at retail sportsbooks?
No. Anyone 21 or older with a valid government-issued ID can place wagers at either tribal sportsbook. Residency is not required — you just need to be physically inside the venue.
Can I deposit cash at retail sportsbooks?
Yes at both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. Use the casino cage to deposit cash directly into your DraftKings (Foxwoods) or FanDuel (Mohegan Sun) mobile account. Same for withdrawals.
Are there retail-only promotions?
Yes. Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun frequently run retail-exclusive bonus bets, parlay boosts, and loyalty events that are not available online. Check at the venue or via DraftKings/FanDuel app push notifications when you arrive on-property.
